Importance of Social Media

Importance of Social Media

Reflective Essay and Social Media Planning

Part A

In a 2-page informal reflection essay, explain how you can use presentation skills and knowledge of yourself and your goals, intentions, and current actions and activities to better address your coursework and your current job or career. Why is it important to actively think about presenting yourself, your goals, and your current situation to employers, friends, and others? How do you build on where you are now to strengthen your argument for yourself?

As you reflect in preparation for writing your essay, the following are some things to ask yourself:

  • How did you use situational awareness (rapport, self-confidence, and awareness) during your presentation?
  • From observing others present themselves, how did that impact your thoughts about self-awareness, reflective practice, and the need to synthesize and present both your discipline knowledge as well as your own professional capabilities?
  • How did you follow up with the audience during or after the presentation?
  • Why is follow-up important in any presentation situation?
  • What else will you do in future situations?

Part B

Social media is an important networking resource and continues to evolve as a tool for self-presentation. Based on concepts covered in this unit, identify the kinds of information that you would want to put on a social media site for presentation of your professional capabilities.  Be sure to explain why you have chosen this set of information.

My ability to learn fast, my openness to change, and my love for challenges are 3 key things I would want a mid-or upper-level manager to know about me if I had a chance to make a presentation to him/her. Change is inevitable. I want someone to know that I can adapt to change and I can handle the effect that may come after. I get bored easily. I love being challenged because it makes me a better person as well as an employee. When I am challenged, I learn more about myself, work, coworkers, and public. Challenges only make you stronger. I do not like to give up. I ask questions and do not like to move on to something else unless I tackle to task at hand. My abilities to get it transcends into being a fast learner.

Growing up, I felt like certain opportunities were taken from me. Instead of feeling sorry for myself, I earned my GED and made goals to become a healthcare consultant to better serve the public. I often use Gibb’s and Rolfe’s reflective cycle in my everyday work and career thinking and planning. Some of the patients I deal with can be anxious, anfry or emotional. I make sure to remain calm and patient to better assist them. It is easier for me to help them based on medication. For example, people that are taking psychological medication tend to be more impatient. It is my job to assist them the best wau I can while providing great customer service and being respectful. I always ask myself questions like.

What else could I have done?

What is the problem?

What was my role?

What happened?

What were the consequences?

Asking questions will help me understand to make my job easier and find better solutions.

If you need anything else, since its more of a personal essay, let me know and I will give you what you need to complete the assignment. Just remember, it’s a 4 page minimum.
