Watching ‘In Sickness and In Wealth’ left me confused. I felt deceived about the U.S. health system and its functionality. I thought that equality in healthcare remained every citizen’s right. However, I now learn that healthcare in the nation strongly related and grows with income levels. From the example of the twins in the movie, both grew up in the same environment for 18 years but went ahead to experience different healthcare benefits from differences in income (Needs Captions for Educational Purposes (2016).
The video made me think about the state of the nation’s health, and the cost of healthcare in the U.S. Healthcare costs continue to rise…
