The second experience with mass media is that it acts as my source of inspiration. I am a huge fan of inspirational movies especially regarding different heroes in history. Movies like Lincoln and Gandhi show the struggles these heroes went through and the achievements they made regardless of the many obstacles they encountered. TV shows that also narrate different true stories of people who are currently successful in life and the challenges they encountered inspire me to be more resilient and committed to my dreams. The third positive experience with mass media is that it helps me and other citizens in the country to uncover hidden truths about different issues in the government and society. A recent scam that I learned from mass media was regarding COVID-19 vaccination cards. After being vaccinated, people would post themselves with their vaccination on social media, and this provided scammers with crucial personal information like name, date of birth, residence, and ID number among others.
