  • After watching the video above, how do you think the idea that the photographers were given shaped their pictures? What are the differences between the photographs?
  • What inaccurate perceptions do people often have of you? Why are people prone to making these perceptual mistakes? What perceptual mistakes concerning other people do you find yourself making?
  • Read “Prejudiced thoughts run through all our minds — the key is what we do with them” and reflect on your bias. How can we do to improve our perceptions? How can we make our bias less limited?

photographers (Canon Australia, 2015). The observed differences between the photographs include the fisherman portrait captured an up-close photo of the man on a chair to depict a county vibe. The alcoholic feature placed the man to appear as if he were in an Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting. The photographer who perceived the man to be a convict placed him in the dark to indicate his crime life, but also lighting was utilized to show he was mending his ways. The lifesaver photo seemed to be more of a documentary show. The psychic photo included a chair portraying an invisible being present, and the eyes were shot to depict someone who can read minds.
