The definitions of feminism were compared and contrasted with survey responses. On the comparison side, the majority of the responses hold that feminism entails advocating for equal rights for the female gender in society compared to the male gender. Equal rights include social, economic, and political positions. This definition differs among some responses, where some believe that feminism entails forming a political movement to fight for equal rights for females in society. On the contrast side, some believe that feminism focuses on empowering both the male and female gender.
