Labor unions are also known as trade unions. These organizations are formed with the aim of offering representation for workers of a particular industry. Workers use labor unions to negotiate for better pay, better working conditions, and other work-related benefits. In most cases, labor unions are specific to particular industries, and in the recent years, there has been a decline in the unionization of employees in the United States.  According to the International Labor Organization (ILO), labor relations is defined as the system that promotes the interaction of workers, employers, the government with the set ground rules within a particular system (DORIS, 2016).  In the US, there are several acts such as the Taft-Hartley Act, the Landrum-Griffin Act, and the Civil Service Reform Act that have been enacted to help in the management of employees…
