Introduction

According to Yukl (2013), leadership is referred to as the ability of an individual to influence others. Effective leadership is the instrumental tool for achieving the organizational goals and objectives efficiently. It’s the role of a leader to impact the ability of the followers to conform towards the group. The group norms should not be intimidating but somewhat accommodative. The conformity of the members should be enhanced through stipulating rules and regulations that they should be followed within the organization.

Conformity

It’s quite normal that a group is made up of individuals with different opinions and behaviors. However, the individual members adjust their actions and attitude towards those of a group which favors all of them, and this condition is referred to as conformity.
