The process status (PS) command is mostly used to avail any relevant information regarding the currently running process in a Linux operating system. By just typing ps command on the console, four columns of are displayed namely CMD, TIME, TTY and PID which produces results in unsorted order (Kochan & Wood, 2016). There are various examples on the practical application of the ps command, and the first one is the [$ ps –ax] command which displays all the list of the process including the current process also. The second command is the [$ ps –ax username] which filter process by the username. The third command is the [$ ps –aux|less] which filter a process by either memory usage or Central Processing Unit (CPU)…
