Copyright gives the author of a product the right to exclude others from distributing a product. According to Schilling (2020), copyright allows the first person or company to produce something to file a lawsuit if it finds another person or a company reproducing the product. Apple Inc. has multiple copyright rights, including the graphical user interface of Mac OS. It is because the company was the first to make a graphical user interface for personal computers. Therefore, Apple can sue anyone who might be reproducing Mac OS for sale or other purposes.
