Moreover, Camus presents a positive view of humankind. This is evident when he envisions how Dura has managed to survive in his school up the hills. This means the ability to stay in the plateau shows the positive side of surviving in absurd conditions.  In Dura’s decision, Camus shows that humans can use their conventions to make decisions in ambiguous conditions. This is because each choice has consequences, and we should be ready to bear the outcomes. Despite showing that Dura was unable to make a decision, Camus shows that humankind is caring. This is evident when Dura wishes the prisoner would escape than find himself in despair of moral choices. In other words, Camus shows the positive message in his work through the conditions his characters survived and the decisions they made.
