Answer preview

Microorganisms shared by urinary incontinence and decubitus ulcers

There are a couple of bacteria species shared by urinary incontinence and decubitus ulcers. The inability to control the passage of urine means that a person with UI will involuntary release urine from their bladder, which will result in the transference of the bacteria within the urine into an open pressure sore wounds (Dugger, 2018). Some of the shared bacteria include Enterococcus faecalis, Proteus mirabilis, and Escherichia coli. Once these bacteria come into contact with an open wound, they will inadvertently end up causing infection.
