Healthcare providers ensure that consolations are done through team works. Consultations aim to ensure that the patients’ healthcare goals are attained and play a role in various healthcare tasks related to a specific patient. Consultations among clinicians are essential as it uses a holistic approach, and also, through a variety of perspectives and points of view, they can make more informed decisions. Whenever clinical practitioners notice conditions or situations above their level of skill or available resources, they seek consultation (Magill, & Prybil, 2020). A structured consultation protocol should be in place to secure optimum benefits. The referring practitioner and the consultant should decide on the level of consultation. It should be timely, convey relevant information, and ensure that care is coordinated.
