2) The Progressive Era was a period of political, economic and social reform. If you could add 3 additional reforms today, one from each of the categories mentioned above, what would they be and why?
3) Do you believe the U.S. today should become more isolationist in foreign policy or more internationalist? Explain your answer and give two examples.

According to Oliver (2020), leaders have the potential to improve or destroy racial relations. Strong racial relation depends on the efforts that the leaders and policy-makers have implemented. Trump’s decisions could never guarantee strong racial relations. He deployed the military troops to turn back the peaceful protesters who only asked for a word from their president. Considering what made the protesters demonstrate, deploying military troops could only encourage racial divides rather than healing the racial wounds. Also, Trump’s messages only criticized the protests instead of restoring people’s hope regarding racial relations (Has & Early, 2020). For example, his tweets referred to the protesters as thugs. This was not good because it demonstrated that the demonstrations against racial injustices were not his concern.
