There are various intervention strategies for endometriosis which involve surgery, medicine, or hormonal therapy (Ferrero, Evangelisti, & Barra, 2018). The treatment methods depend on the severity of the conditions. The patient can be given pain medication like ibuprofen, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), or naproxen sodium to lessen painful menstrual cramps. Also, hormone therapy is given to women experiencing pain.
