Slavery Narratives
From the readings on slavery, I quickly learn that there was great trading of human beings and all the different slaves had different experiences based on their masters. One story of Tempe Herndon Durham is one where she considered herself to be lucky as she had good masters that treated them in a good way (Angelou, n.d.). She had eleven children, and this was a factor that made her very valuable to her master. It is notable that by having more children, it increased your value at that time and this is a factor that surprises me…
