This incident forces Andrew to develop a remorseful character towards Barbara due to the feeling of betrayal. The readers’ curiosity in this chapter elevates since they worry about life in the sense that despite efforts to be happy, sadness always occurs in life. This aspect of lie is reflected in the encounter that Andrew is going through, considering how happy he was with Barbara.
