There are many types of research design. It is important that the nurse understands what constitutes experimental research designs and qualitative research designs and understands the different types of validity that may impact these designs.

Define experimental design, and describe the three features required for a study to be considered a true experimental design. Discuss what sorts of problems might result if a study lacks any of these three features.
