Answer preview

The conceptual model gives the general overview of the work nurses do and a summary of nursing articles, and thesis. They are presented in the form of graphs, images or a diagram to explain what the model of that nursing concept consists off (McCrae, 2012). They are not detailed in nature, and they don’t describe concepts in detail. Nursing theory, on the other hand, gives descriptions and explanations of the nursing concepts in detailed information and the expected outcome. It supports the nursing teaching in the event where students need to analyze the ideas that they have been taught to get the deeper meaning of that concept. The theories help to improve their practice when they start doing the nursing practice, for it illustrates the work of a nurse and what are the expected results when they practice it (Masters, 2014). When nurses are taught on the theories, they make good decisions that will ensure better patient care because they make use of assumptions, concepts, and propositions.
