It embeds a culture of making the correct decisions even in the face of adversity. The term “tone at the top” embodies the ideal nature of ethics. According to this doctrine, the leaders of a company are responsible for the ethical or non-ethical conduct of the organization’s employees. Consequently, it is up to the top brass of the conglomerate to not only set standards which are expected of every person associated with the company but to also live by the same values they established.
