In early 2013, the remuneration committee of Boom Co (a listed company) met to determine the rewards for the executive directors. It was the practice of the committee to meet annually to decide on executive rewards for the forthcoming financial year. In line with best practice, the committee was made up entirely of non-executive directors.

Use the Internet to research companies that utilize external recruiting processes. Next, based on your research, provide three (3) characteristics of a job where external recruitment would be ideal. Next, determine two (2) advantages and two (2) disadvantages of using each recruiting process. Support your position with specific examples of the identified advantages and disadvantages.

The plan should be clear, comprehensive, and forward-looking. This is not merely a research project. Your plan should focus on specific strategic decisions (i.e., problems or opportunities) facing the company and conclude with a set of strategic recommendations.
