Trade is the concept of selling and buying goods and services in exchange for money. International trade helps in the expansion of the market for goods and services that are not locally available. Globalization has proven that each country is largely dependent on other countries for economic stability, which brings about security threats due to offensive trade strategies. This has resulted in trade restrictions as a way of protecting national security (Williams, 2018). There are specific industries in every country that are tactically crucial for national security safeguarding. For instance, due to technological advancements, the military is highly restricted from trading high technical equipment that can be used to implement advanced military technology in other countries, which might become a threat in the future.
