Answer preview

Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach (MSMC) is a hospital with a divisional organizational structure. Divisional organizations are either market or product-based, each division operating and having control of its resources (Benzer, Charns, Hamdan & Afable, 2017). MSMCs’ divisions are service-based and are divided into departments offering specialized care, such as oncology, urology, and neuroscience. Each department is allocated a portion of the overall budget and has its separate departmental head who oversees employees’ activities and service delivery in their jurisdiction.
