You will be analyzing and connecting a daily or weekly article that is relative to the subject of poverty in the United States to the text and course material. Article can be found from a legitimate new source from a print or on-line source. The article must be written with in the time frame of the course to assure it is contemporary. It must be related to a social issue involving poverty. **You should choose an article you personally identity with that relates to sociology and contains enough information to make direct connections to the text. The purpose of this paper is to connect a contemporary current social issue regarding poverty to the course material briefly and concisely.** Each paper must include the following elements:

I. 3-5 pages double spaced

II. Describe in depth the issue of poverty and how it connects with issues raised in the text and sociology.

Poverty in the US continues to be a great challenge in the social development among individuals. By 2015 more 14.5 million children in America were poor with more than two-thirds in working families (Cosgrove& Curtis, 2017). A significant number of the poverty cases are the Black and Latino. Children brought up in poverty have a great likelihood of being poor parents.  In the US news on February 27, 2018, it was reported of College students suffering in poverty with some unable to acquire housing services. It was reported that a population of students are homeless with 11percent in the first year and 19 percent in fourth year unable to acquire the services. The purpose of the study is to connect a contemporary current social issue regarding poverty to the poverty issues raised in sociology.(998words)
