For a long time, I have held the perception to thrive in any field of specialty; one must endeavor to attain experience from a young age or an earlier stage. Therefore, after joining college, I aimed to engage in as many internships as possible because the same would enable me to acquire the requisite knowledge (Duren, 2017). It is essential to acknowledge that as much as schoolwork equips us with the requisite knowledge to enable us to compete favorably in the job market, most of the information we acquire from school does not give us the practical perspective of the workplace. Research indicates that most corporations in America are lamenting that the education system in the country is producing half-baked graduates who are unable to compete favorably in the job market (Focht & Ponton, 2015). As a result, the entities have to incur additional resources to train new graduates to acquire the requisite skill set to enable them to become helpful in the industry. Such issues prompted me to opt for internship opportunities during my holidays. There was particularly a memorable experience that I underwent during one summer break.
