Due to this, employees often find themselves working with colleagues from different cultural backgrounds (Jain & Pareek, 2019). Working on a global work team can be challenging. This is because the cultural differences between team members can adversely affect communication, undermining collaboration and achieving shared goals or objectives (Jain & Pareek, 2019).
