Social issues are problems experienced by individuals who inhabit a particular society. This problem is a shared burden among the afflicted community members and shares a characteristic of a need to resolve it (Kostukova, Lescheva, Ivolga, Anopchenko, Pryadko, Labenko & Kerashev, 2017). Social issues have been known to impede the development of the affected group and further affect the society. Since these issues are generally caused by one group of people treating the afflicted group in a particular manner, they may result in psychological burdens which the affected group of people carries. An issue such as gender inequality affects a diverse population in numerous ways and can have lasting psychological trauma to the affected individuals.
