Answer preview

Like most countries around the globe, the United States deals with numerous security threats to its internal security. Dealing with these threats can be immensely challenging, primarily due to the evolving nature of these threats. Guaranteeing the safety and well-being of Americans requires pertinent stakeholders to adjust the security tactics they use to deal with these threats (George & Rishikof, 2017). Integrating technology into its operations is the most effective way to do this. The 9/11 terrorist attacks experienced in the United States altered the country’s approach to its internal security. One of the significant alterations made was the introduction of the Homeland Security Enterprise (HSE) into the government list of acronyms (George & Rishikof, 2017). The HSE is predominantly tasked with protecting the country from internal and external threats (George & Rishikof, 2017). Implementation of technology has significantly enhanced security tactics used by HSE to combat various threats in border security, aviation security, cyber-security, and transportation security.
