Diwali is one of the largest and most important festivals within Indian culture. It is popularly known as the festival of lights or the Dipawali. The name comes from a combination of the following terminologies, avali and deepa, representing what happens during the celebrations (Little, 2018). Avali denotes the rows while Deepa means the clay lamps. When combined, they describe Diwali, which the Indians celebrate by laying long rows of clay lamps. They light these lamps when the festivities start and only put them out after the celebrations come to an end. Indian culture is very colorful, and the Diwali festival is amongst the most colorful of their celebrations.
