In the case of a person living with HIV/AIDS, they should ensure that any meal they consume will have vitamins and minerals. The benefit of taking foods rich in vitamins and minerals is that they boost a person’s immunity, allowing them to fight off diseases such as sore-throat. The recommended vitamins are E and C, while minerals include zinc and iron (FAO, 2002). The second dietary consideration is the intake of vegetables and fruits every day. Different vegetables, such as spinach and carrots, are crucial and affordable. Overcooking the vegetable gets rid of the vitamins contained within them.
