All cultures have their system of health beliefs that they use to explain what causes diseases, diagnosis methods, and what it takes to treat them. With such cultural beliefs, patients perceive doctors’ information differently, having a profound effect on how they use the information provided. Some cultures believe that diseases result from supernatural phenomena, so they believe prayers can cut the powerful spiritual forces.
