From this assignment, I have been able to understand how different artist’s self- portraits can differ from one another and how they can be able to convey a different kind of information or message. From the self- portrait and I can tell the artist identity including his or her personality, choices and experiences. This assignment on self-portraits helps me understand better the many changes in artistic style and appearance and the many guises that the artists take. It’s easier now to understand the artistic periods of Pablo Picasso through the use of his various painting from the age of 15 years until the age of 90 years (Condorovici, Florea & Vertan, 2015). Using the portraits to understand the different kind of messages that are conveyed by the artist has been enabled by the doing of this assignment.
