With the increased social networking and online businesses, one expectation of privacy for users is the protection of personal information they share on online platforms. According to Sarikakis and Winter (2017), users expect that their information would not be mined or shared recklessly to market products and services without people’s consent. Further, users believe that they have the autonomy to decide the kind of personal information to provide on social media without being compelled. For instance, individuals have the right to control their physical space. Hence, they expect that terms on physical privacy should not be violated.
