Answer preview

Peer tutoring is an essential aspect of education, not only for students that live with a disability but for the benefit of every student. It helps a student understand the topic under discussion from their fellow students, which brings about success because peers can understand each other better than when they interact with the teacher. However, it is essential to note that Pete was a special case, therefore conducting general peer tutoring would not necessarily work for him. The teacher should first conduct random peer tutoring between Pete and all the students in the general class and identify the student who Pete connects with the best. After identifying such a student, the general education teacher can use peer tutoring in the classroom when she pairs Pete and that student.
