Requirements:

  • Your action plan must include the following in a document that is not less than 2 and not more than 3 pages written. (double space, 12-point font)
  • It must be written in easy mode
  • You must follow the D.A.P.P.S. rule (Dated, Achievable, Personal, Positive and Specific)

1) Two long-term academic goal statements with related short-term academic goal statement. Make sure your goal fit the characteristics of effective goal statements. (DAPPS Rule – From 01/27/20 lecture and handout)

  • A description of 2-3 potential obstacles or personal/learning weaknesses you have which may impact your success in college and your ability to achieve each goal listed in item #1.
  • A description of specific concepts or techniques discussed in your textbook and specific examples of how you may apply them to your college experience to help you overcome each obstacle or weakness listed in item #2. You must include the page number of the textbook in which the technique is described.
