The major concepts of the article address the role that social orientation and engagement plays in the terminal decline of the wellbeing of human beings (Gerstorf, Hoppmann, Löckenhoff, Infurna, Schupp, Wagner and Ram, 2016). The first concept focuses on the idea that individuals who tend to be socially active by prioritizing social goals in their later life years, experienced higher late-life wellbeing.
