Intuitively, another cause to the popularity of fast foods is the convenience it creates and the ability to bring friends together to bond. Most people prefer going to restaurants rather than invite friends at home to avoid the hassles of cooking. At restaurants, it is easier to tell a friend to order their favorite foods which are not easy to accomplish at home because one may cook food that some people don’t like (Kar & Khandelwal, 2015). Moreover, it is easier to bond with friends at restaurants because people can get down to business immediately while waiting to be served. When one opts to cook, there are many processes that one must take such as going to the market to buy ingredients, searching for recipes and then cook the food. The process leads to time wastage which in comparison with a restaurant, would be spent on constructive activities. Moreover, fast foods minimize wastage because when cooking at home, one may not be able to precisely approximate the amount of food to cook to be enough to partake. However, in a restaurant, one is served merely with enough portion to take at that specific meal thereby minimizing wastage.
