The offshoring of different jobs and infrastructure became a great factor in the global development, especially from the mid-20th century. Outsourcing has been around for many years, and initially, companies mainly focused most of their outsourcing activities on unskilled or low-skilled manufacturing jobs and simple assembly tasks. As education opportunities and technological advancement, especially in communication and transportation, increased, most developing countries were also able to provide sophisticated or complex labor forces to developed countries. Companies worldwide started tapping into the new group of workers to fill different job positions and provide labor for different manufacturing activities.
