From the very onset, DeNardis makes it known that internet usage is a subject that is riddled with numerous political intricacies (DeNardis, 2009). This state of affairs is directly linked to the fact that no person or entity owns the internet. The absence of a central figure of control sets the field for chaos and disorderliness because parties are seemingly free to do whatever they please. To remedy this situation, the community of internet users, as embodied by technical players, the private sector, and governments, have combined forces to create a framework that will cater to competing interests.
