The immortal life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot is one of the fascinating non-fiction books written based on a real-life story. The book accounts for Henrietta Lacks as a black woman brought up in a humble background and ended up marrying her cousin. Due to the infidelity of her husband, Henrietta contracted STDs (Skloot, 2017). Besides, she gave birth to a child with a mental illness which made her be institutionalized. Later, in life, after a series of tissue screening, she was diagnosed with cervical.  The doctors, who were attending to her during her excision, took some cell samples and gave to researchers who for a long time were working on the issue of growing human cells.
