Answer preview
In the analysis of modern American culture, civil rights are the guiding principle for all citizens. However, the policies developed by the government have current and future negative implications. For instance, the change of health reforms in the US through different presidential administration seems to create happiness for the citizens but have tax adversaries unknowingly. It shows that the government uses technology to create happiness and stability, but it confines people’s freedom and will, as demonstrated by Huxley’s arguments. Equality is also among the modern American culture, which is still struggling with the minority people protesting their grievances regularly. Mond continually proves that the denial of free will controls people not to go against the authorities. The African American people have struggled to earn their dominance just as articulated by Bernard to Lenina that ‘Soma’ is used to losing individuality and create suppression. Finally, the government uses deadly force and criminal justice, to suppress the rights of the minority people, especially blacks, to create fear and joint stability.
