In my understanding, spirituality is the extent to which one believes in his/her religion and the faith one has in God. It is the relationship one has with God and believing in His ways and teachings. People believe that everything is possible through the spiritual beliefs they have.  Through the spiritual beliefs the sick has faith that they will get well which really helps (Puchalski, 2001).

In caring for the patients, we should help them spiritually by making them know that there is God in line with their faith. This in turn would be a great benefit to the patients. According to Koenig,…
