The history of the Roman emperor is a roller coaster from prosperity and peace leading to tyranny and terror. Been born in the right family was very important and that’s how someone landed to be an emperor, it didn’t matter what abilities one had. Emperors could not leave the throne unless they were dead. Peace was preserved in Rome in preparation for war. The terror of the Roman added weight and dignity to the moderation of the emperors.
