John Hennery in his pursuit to explain the development of Christianity from the ancient times described various distinctive features. These fealties were to help in the understanding of what really entails Christianity. The first thing captured in the book is the overview of history. In his description, he ascertains that Christianity was passed on to the preceding generation from the apostles of the teachings of Jesus Christ (Newman, 1846). He also notes that there are some people who refuse to appeal to the historical background of Christianity. For them, they believe that there exist some contradictory doctrines and political abuse. They also believed due to changes and diversity of generations this can never be true.
