Answer preview
Also, in any research, the theoretical framework provides a basis, somewhere to begin or in other words the foundation of the study. This is because apart from it providing the approach to use it also gives a proper analysis and the literature review to present the facts of the research study. After the investigation, the researcher is aided entirely in getting the most suitable research topic for his entire work. An example has been provided by Cleaver, and Ballantyne, in his work where he compares research work without the use of the theoretical framework to that mason who puts up a house without first digging up its foundation (Cleaver, & Ballantyne, 2014). He also adds to his study that theoretical lens has played a significant role in the development and growth of the different research studies in the 21st century. In short, the theoretical lens acts as a compass to give the directions to the researcher on the various theories and resources to use to compile a successful research study. Examples of these theories include the social influence theory among others which are applied to the stated problem and research questions.
