Transition unit

Create a transition unit for your classroom. Your transition unit must include at least three lesson plans designed to meet the general transition needs of exceptional learners in your classroom. Each lesson plan must address at least one of the following general transition domains:


Identify
and list all materials, supplies, resources, technology supports, community-based experiences, and standards addressed in each lesson plan.

Include community liaisons from collaborating agencies that you may bring into your classroom to enhance each lesson plan.

Cite any sources according to APA guidelines. to include a reference page

2.      Identify the most common tools needed for the application of a job

3.      Identify companies or colleges they would be interested in joining

2.      The learners have special needs or disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, and emotional problems.

Five 40-minute lessons

1.      Academic skills-reading, writing, math, computer, art, music, foreign language, etc

2.      Social and interpersonal skills- problem-solving, answering phone calls, etc.

3.      Communication skills- request or offer assistance etc

4.      Vocational and occupational skills- calling when sick, accepting instructions.

5.      Others- writing resumes etc.
