There are various signs of abuse exhibited by victims of abuse such as children or the elderly. These are the warning signs which raise the alarm, and they may be physical, emotional or psychological signs. Physical signs of abuse are visible and are easily noticeable on the bodies of the victims. They include wounds and bruises, scars, cuts, burns, body sprains and broken limbs.  In events of sexual abuse, the presence of torn clothes or blood stains on the garments is key alarming signs. Moreover, frequent complaints of pain without no physical signs may be due to internal injuries as a result of physical abuse.
