Ways Team Members Share Feedback

Ways Team Members Share Feedback

Class Discussion

Members of any team must value the significance of communication, particularly when setting goals and when attempting to solve problems. One form of communication—feedback—is most helpful when it is given in a descriptive fashion or offers suggestions for members to consider. List and explain several ways team members can share feedback with one another. In addition, share what tactics have proved successful or unsuccessful for you when previously providing feedback to a subordinate, peer, or coworker. 200WORDS

There are many ways team members can share feedback with one another including the following several methods that I have chosen which include: envelope exchange, management profile, open feedback session, and prescription writing. Envelope exchange is a process in which each person writes a note to the other team members with specific, individual feedback, covering any issues needed to be addressed. The envelopes are then given to the team members, Management profile occurs when each person presents the profile of his or her effectiveness from previously gathered data. As a group the profile is either confirmed or disconfirmed. An open feedback occurs when each person who would like feedback may ask for it in order to identify areas of personal effectiveness and areas that need improvement. My last choice is prescription writing which occurs when each person writes a prescription for others “Here is what I would prescribe that you do (or stop doing) in order to be more effective in your position.” The prescriptions are then exchanged. The only tactic that I have found to be successful is to be completley open and honest while still trying to remain professional and polite. There is never any reason to be rude when trying to provide feedback to someone. I would also consider the type of feedback I am giving to determine whether to speak privately to the individual or if a group session would be ok and not embarrass the individual (Gibb Dyer Jr., W., Dyer, J.H., Dyer, W.G., 2013).100WORDS

Open forums entail where one is given areas of actual performance and areas that require improvements. In open sessions of issuing feedback, it is critical being honest and polite to avoid embarrassments (Dyer, and Dyer, 2013). Elimination of negative feelings against an individual is…
