We should adopt sortition as a solution to the challenges facing democracy. The current system does not represent everyone. For example, foreigners living in America, Refugees and asylum seekers cannot vote and yet they are affected by the laws and policies (Stone, 2016). The current voting system is a rigged process since most times the winning candidate is the richest and most powerful. Support the calls to resort to sortition since the method is straightforward and will give people a chance to be involved in the affairs of the country.
