Answer preview

In 2018 the United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) came up with different recommendations (Kitchen, & Cox, 2020). They recommended screening for cervical cancer for women aged 21 to 29 years every three years with cervical cytology alone. According to Curry et al. (2018), the USPSTF recommended screening every five years with HrHPV testing alone or with a combination of cytology in women aged 30 to 65 years. The USPSTF also recommended against screening for cervical cancer in women below 21 years and above 65 years who have had an adequate prior screening and are not at high risk of cervical cancer (Sachan et al.,2018).
