Answer preview

Another young man can be seen clearly to clutch the thigh of the old man. David outlines Socrates as about to take hemlock for corrupting his students. From the extreme right beside his students cringed at the wall is Socrates wife as David define to have been present that day. Analytical line, right angles characterize the quality of the painting. Every object in the art is defined by linear arrangement in orientation to its composition. The artwork defines Socrates to fit a mathematical grid that survives centrally in the painting. The great philosophers pose at 90-degrees. The purpose of the image is to identify the rationality of Socrates actions.

Color is used as a description of emotions in the painting. The shades are more vibrant at the center. The death of Socrates painting is signed twice and with a purpose. He placed his initials (L. David) on the grey bench where Crito sits sign of David more affiliation to him. Crito who holds Socrates on the thigh is defined to have been a strict follower of him. The other initials (L.D) are placed on the bench where Plato sat. The significance is the contribution to the painting as the source material. The color, the dimensional view, and the orientation define David’s work to be photorealistic.
